Chamber Strings is an exciting twice yearly 5-day course in chamber music for adult students of strings, woodwind and piano. The course comprises small chamber group teaching (eg piano trio/ string quartet etc), string ensembles, accompaniment classes, masterclasses in all instruments, demonstrations in string instrument maintainance etc by Bristol Violins and the oportunity to play allongside the tutors in open rehearsals to name a few! There will be tutor concerts during the week as well as a reception and student concert to celebrate the work of the students at the end of the course. The course is designed to meet the needs of most levels as music will be arranged with the student's levels in mind. The next course is a 4-day run from 27th-30th May '08 at the Newham Music Academy, East Ham, London. The tutors will be, Abigail Dance (violin/viola), David Way (violin, viola), Kwesi Edman ('cello), Julie Buckley (bass), Peter Fender( violin, viola & conducting), Peter Dodsworth (woodwind & voice), Adrianne Wininsky('cello) and Tra Nguyen (piano).
